In 2001, after it was identified that stormwater is the major cause of degradation in waterways and the destruction of marine environments, the founders made a commitment to foster new and innovative technologies to address and eliminate this global problem. The EcoSense™ canister style filtration system was derived from years of intense development and testing by U.S. and Scandinavian engineers and environmentalists.
Effectiveness, simplicity, quality and cost efficiency were the main objectives in this endeavor.
The EcoSense™ pollution abatement system was specifically designed for storm water run-off in pursuing the battle for a cleaner environment. However, during the course of identifying customer's needs, it was discovered that the current technologies were only addressing the common problems and attempting to provide a "One Size Fits All" approach, leaving many applications without simple solutions. Through EcoSense's responsive prototype division, new, customized solutions began to flourish, filling the gaps left behind by our competition.
Soon word of the "Little Company that Could" spread across the Atlantic and its original uses morphed into many industrial and residential applications as well. It's simplicity and cost effectiveness renders the product as more advantageous than other complex and expensive systems. EcoSense™ products are being used and evaluated for applications such as parking lots, fuel depots, airports, harbors, marinas, bridges, military bases, urbanized areas, etc.
EcoSense™ is an active supporter of local, national and international environmental and civic organizations and has been featured in many online and printed announcements such as:
